BEPPOSAX: the italian X-ray astronomy satellite

This is an artist's impression of the BeppoSAX satellite. This spacecraft, launched on April 30, 1996, observed until April 30, 2002, the X-ray sky with an unprecedented 0.1-300 keV spectral coverage.
